My bank already unlock my bank card but cashapp is not letting me linked together so I can send money to some one please fix it it’s really annoying
Laurens,
I made a new cashapp account and it says, when I go to add a debit card, that the “Card is not supported”. It’s a regular visa debit card from TD bank. I removed this card from my old cashapp account too, so I doubt it’s an issue of error bc the card is linked to another account. PLEASE HELP ASAP. Thanks!
Hi Jesse,
It Depends. If the card was attached to old cash app account that was shut down, they will put a block on everything ever attached to it. However, to make sure that is not the case, contact Cash App with your Cashtag and email address for them to have a closer look into this.
hello my name is Alton C Davis Jr. from New York City.
Currently I am trying to send money to a friend through Cash App with my primary card Citibank Debit card with the Mastercard logo.
It is a card I wanted to use and putting in the account numbers i get “invalid numbers”.Why??? I called my bank and they told me my card is fully activated I can be used and its Cash App.Cash App says it’s my bank.My bank told me to “give it 24 hours” and log in again.I went into my settings typed in cash app and cleared out the data and cache( memory)
uninstalled and reinstalled it and left it alone for 4 days.
At some point I suspected that the Conclusion was that neither my bank and Cash App support this card on this App.
Yesterday I logged back into Cash App and put my Citibank Debit card number and still the same result “invalid card number”.
I chatted with Cash App and after those complaints I suspected right:Cash App does not support this card.I typed and asked why and they told me….
“The debit/credit card you attempted to link isn’t supported by Cash App. This is not necessarily an issue with the brand or type of card, but rather the specific card you attempted to link.
To send and request money with Cash App, please link a different bank-issued Visa, Mastercard or Discover debit card. Additionally, while most prepaid cards are supported for certain functions, funds cannot yet be deposited to them through Cash App.”
I asked them:
Why don’t you support this Citibank debit card with the Mastercard logo??? You supported it last year.
What’s changed????
Cash App chat tells me that the card can’t be linked to Cash App at this time. I’m unable to manually override this. Please link a different Visa, Mastercard, or Discover debit card in your own name. I have not heard of anything that has changed regarding this type of card not being accepted.
Now I have to use a secondary card which.
How is that possible to not accept Citibank debit Mastercard which is
How can this be possibleprrrh
Hi Alton,
I can totally understand your frustration with this situation. It seems like you’re having quite the runaround with Cash App and your Citibank Debit Mastercard. Here’s what might be happening:
Sometimes, these apps and services have certain requirements and compatibility issues that can change over time. It’s possible that Cash App updated its policies, and your specific Citibank Debit Mastercard might not meet their current criteria for linking.
While it’s frustrating, it’s essential to remember that these decisions are typically made on the side of the app or service provider, in this case, Cash App. It might not be something you can control or change.
In the meantime, using a secondary card is a viable workaround, but if you’re still curious about why your Citibank card isn’t supported, you could try reaching out to Citibank’s customer support to see if they have any insights. Sometimes, they can shed light on compatibility issues.
It’s a bit of a hassle, but technology can be a bit finicky at times.
